Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect the email address and message you provide when contacting us through the site. We also automatically collect your IP address when you use the site, used briefly to rate-limit repeated requests in order to prevent abuse and excessive automated use; that use is not linked to your identity, does not build any profile of you, and the address is retained only for a short time (no more than a day) before being discarded. Your IP address is separately received by our analytics provider to estimate the country or region a visit came from, described under Cookies & tracking below. We do not currently collect any other personal information through this site.

How we use it

We use your email address and message solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies & tracking

Gemvale Labs sets no cookies of its own on this site. If you pick a display style from the selector in the navigation bar, that preference is kept in your browser's local storage on your own device — it identifies nothing about you and is never transmitted to us.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, roughly where visitors arrive from, and how often. We run it in a configuration that stores nothing at all on your device: no cookies are set or read, no advertising identifier is created, and Google's advertising features, personalisation and cross-site signals are all switched off for this property. Because nothing is stored, we cannot recognise you when you return, and repeat visits are counted as separate ones. What Google receives is the address of the page you viewed, standard information your browser sends with any request (such as its type and language), and your IP address, which it uses to estimate an approximate location and does not make available to us. We see only aggregate reports and cannot identify an individual visitor from them.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load analytics at all for your visit. You can also opt out across every site that uses Google Analytics with Google's browser opt-out add-on, and read how Google handles information from sites using its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Advertising

This site may display advertising served by Google (Google AdSense). Where it does, Google and its certified partners may set or read cookies and similar advertising identifiers on your device to serve advertisements, to measure them, and — where you have consented — to personalise them. Gemvale Labs does not receive those identifiers and does not itself build a profile of you.

To serve an advertisement, Google's script receives the address of the page you are viewing. On our lookup pages that address includes the company or investor you looked up, so please be aware that this information is shared with Google as part of serving an advertisement on that page.

If you are in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before any personalised advertising is served, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the Your Privacy Choices control in the footer of any page. If you are in a US state with an applicable privacy law, that same control lets you opt out of the sharing of your personal information for advertising; the categories involved are identifiers (such as an advertising identifier or IP address) and internet activity (the page you viewed), and the purpose is advertising. We do not sell personal information for money.

Data retention & your rights

We retain submitted information only as long as needed to process your request. You may contact us at any time to request deletion of your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the current version will always be posted on this page.
